It's easy to exclude data from a forecast.
Reminder: To create an accurate forecast based on specific requirements, users may feel the need to exclude individual transactions, contacts, or Chart of Accounts from the system-generated forecast. |
In the sections that follow, we will learn how to do that.
Exclude a Transaction
- In the Cash Flow area, click on the cell containing the specific transaction you want to exclude from the system forecast.
- Under Transaction Details, find the particular transaction you're looking to exclude.
Tip: Use the Search function located toward the top right of the Transaction Details screen to search by Name, Reference Number, Description, or Amount. |
- Under the Action column, click the blue slider button that says Exclude.
- Click the X at the top right to close the Transaction Details window; your forecast will be updated instantly.
Exclude a Contact
- Beside the Cash In (Account Receivables) or Cash Out (Account Payables) areas, click the three-dot (kebab) options icon.
- Select Manage Contacts.
- Choose either Customer, Vendor, or Employee.
- Either search for the contact using the search bar at the top, or scroll until you find the contact you're looking to exclude.
- Once you’ve found the contact, click the blue slider button that says Exclude beside their name.
- Click the Done button at the bottom of the Manage Contacts window to see your updated forecast instantly.
Exclude a Chart of Account
- Beside the Cash In (Account Receivables) or Cash Out (Account Payables) areas, click the three-dot (kebab) options icon.
- Select Manage Chart of Accounts.
- Choose the category at the top that your Chart of Account falls under.
- Either search for the Chart of Account using the search bar at the top, or scroll until you find the Chart of Account that you want to exclude.
- Once you’ve found the Chart of Account, click the blue slider button that says Exclude beside the name.
- Click the Done button at the bottom of the Manage Chart of Accounts window to see your updated forecast instantly.
