Reminder: Express Migration is only available to businesses and firms with large client lists and pre-authorized debit information from another payment platform. If you're interested in learning more, submit a ticket and talk with our team. |
Before exporting your client list for the Express Migration Platform, ensure the quality and consistency of your client data to prevent errors or delays during migration.
Remove Duplicate Clients
- Run a duplicate client report in your accounting software. Merge or remove duplicate records to ensure each client has only one record.
Standardize Client Names
Standardize client naming conventions to ensure consistency:
- Use official business names exactly as they appear in legal documentation.
- Avoid abbreviations unless they are part of the official registered business name.
Add Unique Identifiers
For clients with similar or identical names, include unique identifiers to differentiate clearly:
- Examples include location abbreviations (e.g., “Sunrise Café – NY," “Sunrise Café – NJ”) or client IDs (e.g., “Sunrise Café – 001," “Sunrise Café – 002”).
Export Verified Data
Once your data is cleaned and standardized, export your client list and fill in the CSV file provided by Forwardly on our Express Migration Platform. For the best experience, we recommend migrating client businesses in manageable batches of 50-100 at a time, maximum.
Warning: Do not change the field name or file format of the CSV files provided by Forwardly. Doing so may alter or corrupt the information, leading to import complications. |
Once you have prepared your data, you're ready to begin the migration process.
