If you’re using Zoho Books with Forwardly, you may notice that syncing can take longer than it does with some other accounting platforms like QuickBooks Online or Xero. This is due to limitations in how the Zoho Books API works, not an issue with your Forwardly account.
Zoho’s API requires records to be fetched and updated individually, which makes large or complex accounts take longer to sync. As a result, a full sync can sometimes take several hours or more, depending on the size of your data and recent activity.
While this is a constraint of the Zoho platform, our team is continuously working on optimizations and improvements to reduce sync times wherever possible. In most cases, the sync will complete on its own in the background without any action needed from you.
