My business data is out of date or wrong. What's going on?
When users make changes in their accounting software but don't re-sync with Forwardly, sometimes it will show inaccurate numbers, such as an opening balance not matching a bank balance.
To fix the issues, follow the steps below to re-sync your business data.
How to re-sync your business data
- In your business list, select the business that hasn't been synced recently.
- Click on the Sync button at the top of the screen.
- Wait for the information to be updated. This typically happens in under 30 seconds, but can take longer for larger businesses.
- When it's completed, click Refresh to load the new data.
- Your business data should now be fully updated.
How long will it take for my business to sync accounting data?
The short answer is: it depends.
Each company you connect to Forwardly will sync data over a different duration, depending on the size and complexity of the financial information. You might see a smaller QuickBooks Online or Xero business take anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes; on the other hand, a larger business might take up to 10 minutes. A safe benchmark figure to use before reaching out to Forwardly support would be at least 15 minutes.
Warning: Revoking permission from within your accounting app at any point will cause the data connection to be severed. You will need to reconnect in order to access business data on Forwardly. |
