If you control a business and you would like Forwardly's emails to go to multiple email addresses for that business, you can absolutely make this change. Admins can manage multiple communication email addresses for the same business from business settings, making it easy to keep them updated and designate any one of them as the primary business communication email.
How to add business communication email addresses to your business
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click on Settings.
- Beside Communication Email Address, click the arrow edit icon.
- Add a new email address in the box.
- Click Add email to add the email address as an additional communication email address for the business. It will then be sent all business-related emails from Forwardly.
| Tip: You can add up to five total communication email addresses. If you reach the limit, simply remove an existing one before adding a new email. |
How to update the primary business communication email address for your business
- On the left-hand navigation bar, click on Settings.
- Beside Communication Email Address, click the arrow edit icon.
- Next to the alternate email address you want to set as primary, click the three-dot options button.
- Select Mark as Primary.
| Reminder: These settings apply only to your business communication emails. Your personal login email remains unchanged and can be managed separately under User Account settings. |
Why didn’t updating my business email change the emails I receive from a vendor?
In rare cases, vendors can choose to manage their own communication preferences and business relationship settings within Forwardly. When this is enabled, updating your business contact information in your account will not change how that vendor communicates with you.
If you’re continuing to receive emails at an old address, or not receiving emails at a new one, you’ll need to contact your vendor directly and ask them to update your contact details on their end. Vendors who manage their own communication settings control where their invoices, reminders, and payment notifications are sent.
