You can absolutely use Forwardly to pay contractors! Forwardly only supports business-to-business (B2B) payments, but if you're trying to pay an individual, contractor, or subcontractor who identifies as a Sole Proprietor (e.g. they're functioning as a business), you can use Forwardly to pay them.
The verification requirements for a Sole Proprietor are listed here.
| Reminder: In most cases, only one party (either the payer or the payee) needs to verify their account, unless our system flags an account or transaction for additional review or verification. This means your contractors won't need to create a Forwardly account to get paid. |
What about if my payee isn't a business?
Unfortunately, Forwardly will not be able to help you pay a non-business entity. While Business-to-Consumer (B2C) payments are on our future roadmap as a possible feature update, we can't support B2C payments at this time.
